Hais.. dun laugh at me but I tried
8 times. I keep failing lah. Dun ask y. I've been in the lab like from the start of this week til now. I'm going back later to check.
The first few times we failed becos of some stupid miscalculations...
Den the next few times (3 - 6) we failed cause we were using a less than 2-arm PEG instead of a 4 -arm PEG. Nice rite... (1-arm means having the molecular mass of 5000... so we were using a 8000 one when we needed a 20000 one....)
The 7th was also done with the incorrect PEG... but citric acid was used instead of acetic acid... But there was contamination...
The 8th time (results are out later) we raised to concentration of the PEG to make up for the loss in molecular weight... hope it will work...
y our mentor has to go to AUS at this time. lol.. If not it would have been lots easier...
